The all polymer battery replaces the current lithium-ion battery's main components such as the collector with polymer instead of metal. It has a higher energy density per module than conventional batteries, lower risk of ignition, and simplified manufacturing processes, resulting in significant cost reductions in large-scale production.
As the development of solid batteries is receiving attention worldwide to address the weaknesses of conventional lithium-ion batteries, the all polymer battery seems to be steadily advancing towards large-scale production, albeit quietly.
